Many traditional broadcast robotic systems require manufacturer installation that can take multiple days.

Spectrum Studio was designed differently from the start. Coming from the independent creator and filmmaking world, eMotimo systems prioritize ease of setup and usability. A basic Spectrum Studio system can be running in minutes and fully operational within a couple hours.

No Licensing or Hidden Fees

Spectrum Studio firmware updates are free and there are no obligations to pay licensing fees, or support fees to use the product to its fullest.

Open Ecosystem (No Lock-In)

Some manufacturers attempt to lock you into their proprietary ecosystem. Only after building out a complete system do you see where they make their money.  For example, want to get to a 5 axis system with Pan/Tilt/Slide/Focus/Zoom, you might be locked into buying of their proprietary FIZ motors or track add thousands to the overall cost of the system.

eMotimo has taken an different approach and integrated to common FIZ motors and dolly systems that you may already own, or can purchase for reasonable prices.

Additionally, we have opened our systems for control from free solutions like Bitfocus Companion as well as Skaarhoj - both leveraging a free API that is open and flexible for technical users to create new ways to control and queue the Spectrum Studio.

Unlimited Dolly Length

Traditional sliders are limited by belts.

Spectrum Studio’s beltless dolly system uses sensor-based tracking, allowing dolly runs as long as your track allows

If a studio wants to expand their setup later, they can simply add more track. This level of flexibility is unheard of in the broadcast space.

PTZ cameras are built for remote live control from static positions.

They’re excellent for:

• Reframing shots
• Recalling presets
• Live operation

But the your camera is stationary. movement between presets is typically fast and mechanical, meaning you only cut to the camera once it stops.

Spectrum Studio improves that incorporates Dolly motion to your rig and coordinates all of the those control axis together (pan/tilt/dolly/focus/zoom).

With eMotimo's cinematic presets, operators can set targets (presets) with timing and damping. When recalled by a press of a button, instead of just repositioning, the Studio uses it motion control engine to hit its targets cinematically over extended times producing footage worth cutting to - even while moving.

Spectrum Studio also brings looping automation, allowing cameras to continuously repeat moves so they’re always delivering dynamic shots when called upon.

Scales Beyond Short Sliders

Consumer systems are typically limited to 2–5 ft sliders. This might work great for product shooting or tabletop interview shots, options quickly become limited when you consider front of stage, edge of balcony, and front of control booth positions. 10, 20, or even 50 feet of track becomes a requirement, and is an affordable option with our beltess integration systems to Dana Dolly or RigWheels products. 

Wired Network Control

Most consumer based products either omit network control entirely or focus on inexpensive and saturated 2.4Ghz Wifi for communication. Spectrum Studio includes a built-in wired network port where reliability isn’t an option.
