there’s no ‘I’ in eMotimo. ok, there is. and I’m it.

Well hi there. I’m Brian. A professionally amateur moment chaser. Adventurer. Observer of 'things' (it's a technical term). Engineer. Fan of life and all things novel experience. Motorcycle rider. Problem solver. Comfortable with PDA. Just an everyday dude who wants to put better-designed, formerly cost-prohibitive technology in the hands of anyone who wants it; believing access to technology should not be the limiting factor in creativity. Experience all you can. Share all you can. Proliferate as much stoke as you can. Repeat.

Cost is a barrier to entry for many of us in the creative realm. By virtue of that, 'cost' is costing the world quite a bit when it comes to creative realization. And that tends to stifle inspiration. And that's a tragedy. There’s simply too much cool sh*t in the world to just let it drift by. We'll never capture all of it. And we shouldn't try. But let's get some of it. More of it. Let's make something artful out of it. Experience it or relive it in a new way. Share it with others in hopes of inspiring. When others get stoked and inspired, I get stoked and inspired. So, I suppose starting eMotimo was my way to help encourage more of that. Amazing is all around us. All we have to do is take the time to look. Always look. Always try. This is me trying.

eMotimo is the result of a lot of hard work on the parts of many. Without help from my ever-supportive friends, family, and communities like openmoco.org and Techshop, eMotimo would not be here. Without my quirky customers pushing me along to try new things, eMotimo wouldn't keep getting better. I feel lucky to wake up each day and do something that I love. I am grateful to have this opportunity to share it with others.  Thank you.
